This course is aimed at individuals who have or are about to acquire supervisory responsibilities.  This course provides an introduction to health and safety, welfare and environmental issues for those requiring an understanding of their legal responsibilities, as relevant to their work activities.

This course is aimed at individuals who are responsible for planning, monitoring and organising the health, safety and welfare provision of other members of staff.  This course will provide up to date knowledge of current legislation, as well as touching on other areas that are concerned with safe working practice within the built environment and construction industries.

This course is mandatory for all holders of the SSSTS certificate if they wish to remain in scope once their original certificate has expired.  The certificate is valid for 5 years.

This course is for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce, to help them understand the potential hazards that they face while working on site.

 It provides a practical summary of health and safety, welfare and environmental issues identifying individual responsibilities for looking after themselves and others, what the employer’s duties are and what should be done if they think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.

On successful completion candidates are able to complete the application process for a CSCS Labourer's card.
